Our mission is to create an artistic, constructive, and supportive space for young adults to inspire the writing and sharing of original songs, especially for those who are writing their first-ever song.

The Original Song Project started out as a young adult songwriting workshop held in Manhattan, NY. Participants attended to write their own original songs and perform them in an open concert by the end of the week. Many of these participants had never written a song before.Sunhwa Reiner, the director and founder of this project, designed this experience to create a space for young adults to experience the transformative power of songwriting. She wants people to deepen their relationships with themselves and each other through hands-on creativity.The Original Song Project is expanding to reach more people want to have the tools and confidence to write their own song.
